It is June 2025 and I am delighted to have been selected to be Chairman of the Dinas Powys Rotary Club for the forthcoming year.
Our Club activities consist of raising funds each year with our Classic Car Show held on the Spring Bank Holiday in May, and with the Dickensian evening we hold in December each year. We also hold a number of smaller fund raising and social events.
With those funds we are able to support a number of charities and worthy causes Locally, Nationally, and Internationally………Locally such as our local Scouts and schools; Nationally such as Blood Bikes Wales, Prostate Cymru, National Coastwatch; and Internationally through organisations such as Shelterbox – a Rotary linked charity aimed at helping people who through disasters find themselves homeless. We also support the local Foodbank.
